Include a section on why changing tariff rates on a near-daily basis, making it impossible for businesses to plan, is going to lift the economy?
US importers won’t order inventory for fear that the tariffs will double once the goods are in transit and they will have no choice but to “eat” a 25% increase in COGS.
No one is even going to consider building new production facilities in the US as long as a climate of chaos remains.
But perhaps the OP can explain to the rest of us why it’s GOOD to raise the price of 23% of our steel by 50%. Be sure to touch on why much higher car prices are good for the economy and the American consumer.
